Fruit of the Spirit

Water, the amount of, or the lack thereof; as well as the quality, will determine the essence of the fruit.  Our lives, in relation to our relationship with God is exactly the same.  A strong FAITH in God will yield a good harvest, just as a lack of faith will yield little to no harvest.  Your fruit are your words, your actions and attitude.  You, as the tree can exert good fruit, or bad fruit, it is your spiritual nourishment (water) that will determine if you are spoiled or ripe.

Psalm1 1-3 reads… The Person “whose delight is in the law of the Lord…is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season”

Galatians5 22-23 reads …those who walk in step with the Spirit are marked by “love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Sometimes your view on your surrounding circumstances can harden you, actions and words may become unkind.  There is no good fruit.  That is when you need to become quiet before the words of your God.

When you are deeply rooted in the words of God, when you carry Him in your spirit and allow Him to guide you in your words and actions, you WILL bear good fruit.  Patience and gentleness override and characterize your day to day interactions, relieving stress and the need to worry.  It’s much easier to choose gratitude over complaint.

Just as a gardener tills and waters her garden with care, knowing that the amount of work she puts into it will constitute the glorious magnitude of her garden,
We also must continue to endow ourselves in the glorious spirit of the Lord and keep Him in our heart and spirit.

The more care you take in that, the more gratifying your garden will become.

Peace & Blessings!
