God IS Love.
When I realized that the one I was with was designed for me, and me only, my views about everything changed. I suddenly felt like I could take on the world. I felt the love of God.
Goals became more achievable. My faith in God became stronger, I felt honored that He thought so much of me to pair me with him. It’s an internal deep feeling of gratitude that cannot be replaced. No amount of money could ever amount to or replace the love I have for this man.
The love is unconditional, no matter what I bring to the table, my deepest fears and emotions, my failures, my morning breath or mood swings, he still loves me for me. The freedom I feel was worth every bit of waiting I endured.
What You Attract:
You will attract what you hang around and you will attract what you THINK about. When your heart is filled with the spirit of Christ, you will attract all things Godly. If your “type of mate” is a bad boy thug, or a flashy hot woman, then you will attract just that. In order to change who you attract, you must change your “definition” of the perfect mate.
Stop putting the NEED to have someone in your life in front the NEED to get your life spiritually right in the eyes of God.
God guides you through a life of preparation, there are things that you have to experience BEFORE you meet your life-long partner, and there will be things you will experience AFTER you meet your life-long partner. Do not be in a hurry to find a mate, you will miss all of life’s lessons, and preparations.
Find the love for YOU and understand the love God has for you, live in it and appreciate it, for it is then that you will have a love to compare to when you come across a potential candidate.
1 John 4:16 says:
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.
It wasn’t until I STOPPED looking and focused on ME and MY relationship with God, that, I found my soul mate. It was literally love at first sight. The Holy Spirit spoke to me as soon as I laid eyes on him. I instantly FELT him in my future. I had no idea as to who he was, what he liked to eat, his enjoyments or dislikes, but I knew that I fit perfectly with him; and he fit perfectly with me.
I already loved him and I hadn’t even spoken a word to him yet. I knew that whatever plans God had for me in the future, I was to experience them with him. I committed myself to marriage before I even spoke to him because the feeling of love I had was comparable to the love I knew Jesus has for me. It was overwhelming.
We were married 2 years after we met and on May 28th, 2011 I became one flesh with my last, first love.
I found out later in our life that, he spoke of marrying me that first day he saw me as well. 🙂
A Reflection between Christ and the Church…
Marriage is more than two people falling in love and becoming one before the eyes of God. Marriage was meant to be a reflection of the relationship between Christ and the Church, that is the deepest meaning of marriage.
He is my rock, my protector, my confidence, my strength and my weakness and I express my love for God through him.
1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
Today marks day 1 of 28 reasons why I love you, Daniel Hugie.
I love you because I see God IN you.
